Who we are
Pose is a photography and social media platform for discovering pose references, publishing creative work, sharing RAW files and edits, saving collections, discussing images, and learning from camera, light, and location context. References to "we", "us", and "our" mean the operator of Pose.
What information we collect
We may collect account details such as name, username, email address, password hash, profile information, preferences, subscription or role information, support messages, privacy requests, moderation reports, and settings. We also collect content and activity that users choose to create or upload.
Photos, RAW files, edits and uploaded content
Pose may store uploaded photos, RAW files, edited images, presets, XMP files, captions, descriptions, tags, categories, collections, public assets, and related upload details. Content you publish may be visible to other users or the public depending on the page, feature, and privacy setting used.
EXIF, camera data and possible GPS/location metadata
Images and RAW files may contain EXIF or similar metadata such as camera model, lens, exposure, focal length, capture date, editing software, orientation, color profile, and sometimes GPS or location coordinates. We may extract, display, store, strip, or use metadata to power features, moderation, search, metrics, or safety. You should remove sensitive metadata before upload if you do not want it shared.
Profile, social activity, comments, likes, saves, reports and messages
We may process profile pages, public display names, bios, avatars, follows or similar relationships, comments, likes, saves, collection activity, reports, moderation notes, messages, and interactions with creators or content. Some social activity can be public or visible to recipients, moderators, creators, or administrators.
Metric, logs, cookies, device/browser/IP information
We use first-party metrics and logs to understand page views, sessions, traffic sources, engagement, downloads, saves, reports, errors, abuse, and security events. This can include cookies or session identifiers, browser and device information, IP-derived signals, hashed IP addresses, user agent information, referrers, timestamps, and pages visited.
How we use information
We use information to run Pose, provide accounts and public pages, host and deliver uploads, personalize and improve discovery, measure views and downloads, support creators, process reports, moderate content, prevent fraud and abuse, secure the service, respond to requests, comply with legal obligations, and communicate about the platform.
Public content warning
When you publish or share content publicly, it may be viewed, copied, shared, downloaded, screenshotted, indexed by search engines, cached, archived, or reused by other people. We provide privacy controls, deletion tools, reports, moderation, and security measures, but once something is public online, we cannot fully control every copy outside our platform.
User choices and controls
Depending on available features, you may be able to update your profile, edit or delete uploads, change visibility, remove metadata before upload, manage collections and saves, report content, block or limit interactions, opt out of non-essential communications, or adjust browser cookie settings. Some controls may not affect copies already accessed by others.
Account deletion and data requests
You can contact us to request account deletion, access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or other privacy help. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited records where required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, audit logs, backups, fraud prevention, or moderation integrity.
Australia privacy requirements
Because Pose is operated with an Australian audience in mind, we aim to handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements, including transparency, reasonable security, access and correction where required, and appropriate handling of complaints. If the Australian Privacy Act or Australian Privacy Principles apply to us in a specific situation, we will handle relevant requests accordingly.
EU/UK/international privacy rights where applicable
Where EU, UK, or other international privacy laws apply, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, portability, withdraw consent, or complain to a regulator. Our lawful bases may include providing the service, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligations, and protecting users or the platform.
Cloud hosting, backups and overseas service providers
Pose may use cloud hosting, storage, email, metrics, security, payment, content delivery, moderation, and support providers. These providers may process information in Australia or overseas. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period after deletion before routine expiry.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures such as access controls, password hashing, logging, abuse prevention, and secure infrastructure practices. No online service is perfectly secure, so users should use strong passwords, protect account access, and be careful with sensitive uploads or metadata.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Pose, maintain public pages and creator metrics, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, enforce terms, prevent abuse, keep security logs, and maintain backups. Public content, cached pages, metrics totals, and moderation records may have different retention periods.
Children/minors
Pose is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law. Minors should use Pose only with appropriate parent or guardian consent. Do not upload private information, location metadata, or identifiable images of minors unless you have the necessary rights and consent.
